Sarnia Section President's Message

Hello fellow members:

Well we are at the end of another ISA year with only one executive meeting left to clean up any final details for year end.

It looks like we will be able to fill all the executive positions for next year and we are well on our way to complete the speakers for next year. Next year we actually have more speakers then time, this is a good indicator that people want to come and speak at our meeting which means they see value in doing these presentations to our section.

Our attendance though is low I feel we are attracting a more diversified group of new people so this will only result in them talking to others and getting more people out to the meetings. Our campaigning is working and if we keep it up for another year, I believe we will be successful in increasing our attendance. So for those who have come out to support your section I thank you please keep coming out. I will keep pushing for interesting and fun evenings for all of the members. For those who have not come out this year yet, come out; try again, see if you have some fun, enjoy life and your career. This is only one of the many things we do in our careers where you can meet people out side your own work place to gather ideas and talk to people that have a common interest.

Now on to one of my favorite events the Awards banquet on May 31/2010. This event gives us a chance to express to those in our section and in our local industry our appreciation for the work they have done to support our section. You can bring your friends and spouses and have great entertainment, food and some good old camaraderie. Put the date on the calendar. You will not get this level of entertainment and quality of food any where else for the price. I assure you will not be wasting your time.

This year I have been blessed with excellent executives. Our positions are strictly a volunteer and with our careers and families we dedicate our personal time to make this section enjoyable for others. With out these people helping me, the section could have had the success it has this year.
